What a 'harthal' is ??

Forget about your age, sex, religion and party, just sit and think from a layman’s point of view. Did you ever think what these so called ‘Harthals’ have given to the people of Kerala?? 

Of course there are agendas, allegations and conspiracies in each political party,whatever the party is. But is this meant to destroy a social life? 

Whether Saritha or Kavitha got imprisonment or not, whether Umman Chandi got pelted with stone or not, whether he would resign or not, we, as the citizen of India have gotten the freedom of life since 1947, August 15.

Take a normal day of a common man, we have 12 whole hours to work. But think, how would our life change if there are no public vehicles or other necessary services? We will be forced to cancel our programs for a whole day. No matter how serious it is.  From their point of view, every Harthal is meant to get the justice. But, what justice the common people are getting? Don’t they have the freedom of life? Don't they have the right to live?

The poor suffer a lot on a hartal day.Kerala is a state where a major share of people move their life with the daily wages they are getting. But they will seriously suffer if there is no work for a day. In the case of rickshaw-pullers,hawkers etc too.Patients can not go to hospital, Markets are closed, highways become desolated.Sometimes they clash with the police.How many innocent people are getting injured? In commercial field also, if there is no movement for a whole day, it will surely bring down our productivity..It damages our economy. High Court itself yesterday made a statement against 'Harthal' and its consequences to the state and the people. 

One whole day is losing from our life without any reason.

IN A NUTSHELL, ‘IT IS NOTHING BUT AN UTTER NONSENSE’.

I know nothing is going to happen with this single post. But, we, the youngsters won’t do anything, nobody else can. We are lucky enough to have some strong social networking sites to open up our own mouth.

If you want to rest for a day, take it as a holiday. Or, at least feel free to respond against this unwanted propaganda!!! We have to.
